Fellowship

There are many opportunities to enjoy the fellowship of our church. If you would like any additional information, or desire to become more involved in any of the following activities, including:

Please contact our church office at 805.238.3702 or church@trinitylutheranpaso.org

GREETINGS/FELLOWSHIP

There is a fellowship time in the hall after the first service with coffee, punch, and a treat. This is an important time to spend with our Christian brothers and sisters.

YOUTH

Our youth have regular meetings and numerous activities during the year. They participate in many of the church functions and activities and everyone is very proud of them. If you have youth in 7th to 12th grade who would like to be a part of our youth program, please give the office a call.

The leaders of our youth always welcome parents and other church members who wish to assist in trips and transportation and other functions as needed to keep our youth active.

EVANGELISM

Mark 16:15 "Go throughout the whole world and preach the gospel to all mankind."

This important function of the church is reaching out to those who do not have a church home, with invitations in many forms. As individuals, we can tell of our Lord when opportunities arise.

The evangelism committee uses the media and other resources to invite people to worship.

PARISH CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
The goal of Trinity is to involve all members in continuous learning of God's word by joining one of the Bible study groups. For those of you who have a gift of teaching, your talents are welcomed as a Sunday School teacher or Bible Study Leader. In the summer time, teachers and aides are needed for our Vacation Bible School.
MUSIC

Our music program brings joy and inspiration to all of us and praise to our Lord. We need musicians-those who are willing to serve the Lord with their talents. There are many ways for you to be a part of this vital ministry:

Choir: Rehearses once a week and sings in the second service about once every three Sundays.

  Hand bells

Special Music: If you play a musical instrument or sing, please share it with the congregation on Sunday mornings.

Rest Home Music Ministry: Several local locations are visited once a month where the residents enjoy the music provided.

School Chapel: Musicians lead music for School Chapel Services every Wednesday morning during the school year.

1st Service Contemporary Music: This is an opportunity to serve the Lord by singing, playing guitar or other instrument or keyboard during the 8:00 a.m. at Trinity. Rehearsal times are varied.

2nd Service Traditional Music: If you play a brass instrument, consider playing with the organ and other brass players on certain festival Sundays throughout the year.

For more information on each program, and how to serve in this ministry, please see the "Music Ministry" page

SHEPHERDING

The goal of the shepherding program is that each member and member family, have a shepherd. The shepherds maintain contact either by phone or in person, keep their lambs in their daily prayers and basically be a loving Christian brother or sister. Some shepherds send get-well cards, anniversary cards, etc. but this is optional. Each shepherd has a list of members that they contact, usually five or six. It is a rewarding activity for both the shepherd and the lambs.

ALTAR CARE
There are several aspects of our Altar care.
1. Communion preparation. Volunteers prepare and clean up after these services.
2. Flowers are arranged and placed on the Altar and later removed as needed.
3. Candles and the eternal light are changed and maintained as needed.
4. Paraments are maintained and changed as needed.
PRAYER CHAINS
God hears all of our prayers. We have a prayer chain that offer prayers for the sick, for those with problems, and also prayers of thanksgiving for the many blessings that we receive. For prayer requests, call the church office and leave a message.
